Guest Announcer for Percussion Championships

The Musical Arts Conference is pleased to have another member of the WTNH family join us as guest announcer for the 2026 MAC Percussion Championships being held at Westhill High School in Stamford, CT.  Brittany Taylor will be joining us on April 11, 2026.

Brittany Taylor joined News 8 in November 2023. Currently, she co-anchors Good Morning Connecticut at 9am and reports LIVE between 4-7am. Brittany also specializes in producing long-form enterprise, human-centered stories.

Born and raised in Canada, Brittany comes to WTNH from her home city of Toronto. She is a proud alumnus of Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 2018. Her interest in world affairs and U.S. Foreign Policy led her to complete a graduate certificate in International Relations at Harvard Extension School during the pandemic.

Brittany has worked across Canada, beginning her career in Saskatchewan at CTV News and heading further west to work in Alberta at CityNews. After receiving an opportunity to come back home to the Greater Toronto Area in 2019, Brittany joined Global News. She was an MMJ reporter and anchor for several programs for nearly five years. There, she was given the opportunity to report on several stories of local, provincial, national and international interest. Her most notable work includes being sent to Nova Scotia to report on raging wildfires burning out of control, a devastating bus crash in Manitoba that killed over a dozen seniors and rocked the quiet community of Dauphin, and filling in south of the border at Global’s Washington bureau, where she delivered top stories out of the U.S. Capitol to a Canadian audience.

In her spare time, Brittany enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, watching reality TV and serving at her local church. She has an enormous soft spot for dogs. Brittany also enjoys trying new restaurants and spending time with friends and family.

There is also nothing that gives her greater pleasure than meeting people out in the community.
